Junior Buyer

We are looking for a Junior Buyer in our Regional Private Labels team, you’ll help to build a new apparel range for our men customers, broaden our women apparel product selections, and strengthen our dedicated Buying team. 



  • Build and maintain a comprehensive assortment for the Zalora Basics men with a holistic view on markets and seasonal demand
  • Increase variety of the Zalora Basics women wear range, by sourcing new merchandise and reviewing existing ones to ensure products remain competitive.
  • Support the team by providing analysis and making recommendation for buying and trading decisions.
  • Able to maximize profits and provide a commercially viable range of merchandise at competitive prices
  • Keep up to date with market trends and quickly update planned range accordingly
  • Meeting suppliers and negotiating on product costs to meet target intake margins
  • Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products
  • Exchanging with other departments like Logistics, Content and Photo production, Pricing and Campaigns are part of your daily work, ensuring that we act in line with the whole organization. You will work cross-functionally to drive sales and maximize profit.



  • With at least 2 years experience in a similar role preferably with a background in menswear
  • Strong analytical skills ranging from interpretation of retail data to management of supplier accounts, sales forecasting and budgeting. You just love working with numbers and you can use Excel and the MS Office package in your sleep.
  • Negotiating is in your blood and you are always a compelling figure when communicating with suppliers and other stakeholders. You have mastered both written and spoken negotiations in English (and Mandarin is a plus).
  • Quick thinking and proactive attitude, which also means you keep on top of things in a fast-paced environment 
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, has the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • With attention to detail, able to make quick decisions without sacrificing quality and integrity.
  • Exposure to online retailing is a PLUS
