Analytics Manager

We are looking for a passionate and talented individual to join the newly-established Zalora Consumer Insights and Analytics team (CIA). Reporting to the Head of Consumer Insights and Analytics, this regional role places you right at the beating heart of the Marketing function.

The CIA team is an integral function as it will be the bridge between the Marketing, Commercial and Technology teams. The CIA team leverages on a deep understanding of our customers through analysis, market research, market intelligence, competitor research and internal data sources like Net Promoter Score (NPS) and customer feedback.

CIA adds value to Zalora by unifying and rallying the various teams through our insights-driven recommendations in order to do what is best for our stakeholders – the Zalora customers. Our recommendations are not just limited to the realms of what the Marketing team can influence, but it can also span into other areas of the business such as product assortment, user experience on our platforms (web and mobile), etc.



i) Strategy:

  • Which metrics have the biggest impact on our customers and business results?
  • What KPIs really matter and can ‘move the needle’ when it comes to our customers’ shopping behavior and brand advocacy?
  • How can Zalora track these KPIs on an ongoing basis?

ii) Planning:

  • Determine which customers to target for marketing campaigns using analytical techniques including statistical clustering, RFM segmentation, market basket / affinity analysis, decile analysis, regression modelling, propensity modelling
  • Predict when and what customers will buy
  • Identify types of customer promotions required to enable upsell, engagement, recognition of high value spenders and reactivation

iii) Hygiene / Operations:

  • Track KPI performance and perform post-campaign analysis
  • Track and measure customer quality and migration / brand health
  • Track effectiveness of promotions


Essential Skills and Experience

  • A highly-motivated individual with a passion in data-driven marketing and consumer insights
  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, R/Python, Tableau, Google Analytics, Big Query
  • Prior experience in predictive modelling (churn, segmentation, forecasting, etc)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills
  • CRM and Marketing knowledge preferred
  • Quantitative and comfortable working with large amounts of data
  • A self-starter with analytical astuteness and able to work with tight deadlines
  • Team player who can work in a cross-functional environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills along with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to provide recommendations based on analytical findings
