Business Analyst - Vendor Management

We are looking for an analytical and process-oriented person to own & drive improvements of key processes within ZALORA’s Operations Department. Reporting to Manager – Vendor Management, this role is based in ZALORA Malaysia (HQ), Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia. The position may entail occasional travel to ZALORA Regional Distribution Centre in Shah Alam. 

In this role you will be responsible to liaise, support business growth and deepen relationship with ZALORA's key suppliers. Relying on superb analytical & communication skills, you will work with the broader Vendor Management team on resolution of supplier requests. Using data, you will help to

(1) bring speed, accuracy & clarity to ZALORA’s reporting (2) boost service quality, further fostering supplier relations, and (3) improving productivity and cost targets, with a strong focus on department KPIs.



  • Drive day-to-day activities of the Vendor management team
  • Coordinate with regional analytics teams on data requirements, inclusive of data availability & accuracy
  • Drive improvements in sales & inventory reporting, inclusive of discrepancy investigation, for ZALORA’s key suppliers
  • Work closely with internal/external stakeholders and manage project communication and coordination
  • Drive continuous improvements within the Vendor Management team, identify best practices and standardize it
  • Support vendor management team and make sure performance, quality and cost KPIs are met



  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on quantitative studies (e.g. Economics, Engineering, etc.)
  • Up to 2 years working experience in analytical roles / consulting
  • In-depth understanding of MS Excel as well as being highly IT literate. Experience with data quality, cleaning and extraction/validation tool is preferred
  • Exposure to process improvement or project management is beneficial
  • Available to start with a short notice

Candidate should display remarkable hunger, drive, and an ability to learn on the job. Interest for building strong foundations with a hands-on attitude to get things done and meet short deadlines. Excellent multi-tasking and strong communication skills to coordinate between departments, especially in simplifying and explaining complex concepts. Very good attention to details and comfort with managing quality. Willing to work in a fast-paced constantly changing and collaborative environment.

Vendor Management team is the integral team within ZALORA Operations, bridging the discussions and leading projects between the Supply Chain, Operations & Commercial teams of ZALORA.
