Studio Coordinator

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the production team of ZALORA, one of the most recognized fashion brands in South East Asia. This role sits within the Production department, specifically within the studios. With over 500 products passing through the studios daily, the studio team creates up-to-date styling for the online catalog, fashion content for editorials, videos, PR, and social media platforms.

Reporting to a Production Manager, you will be responsible for directly assisting the Production Manager in the day-to-day running of the studios, including booking and managing models, the general organization of the studio team and operations and working with to improve the quality of the catalog. A great eye for fashion trends and product details is also an important skill. The role is based in Malaysia.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Booking and managing models, responsibilities include scouting for models locally and internationally through agencies, web and social media, procuring in-house models, managing and updating model costs, briefing models on terms and conditions and house rules, maintaining strong relationships with agencies and booking models on a daily basis
  • Assisting to manage the capacity of the studios and scheduling daily shoots, bearing in mind brand requirements and model suitability
  • Monitoring the products inbounded to production to be scheduled for photoshoots, ensuring that everything is in order and troubleshooting if there are any issues
  • Contributing towards styling reviews, demonstrating competitor awareness and being proactive in presenting opportunities for improvement of the online catalog

 

Requirements:

 

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in the relevant field, including but not limited to fashion editorial, photography studio production, model agencies and casting
  • Has experience working with modeling agencies
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced and results-driven environment, and thrives in that setting 
  • Has a passion and technical understanding for fashion photography and video production
  • Resourceful and extremely organised
  • Proactive attitude, detail-oriented, and sense of humour
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
