This is an exciting opportunity to join ZALORA’s Private Label leadership team, one of the most recognized fashion brands in South East Asia. We are looking for an experienced leader who has strong industry experience in Footwear and Accessories design and product development, creating a strong seasonal assortment to life working to drive brand identify, achieve financial objectives and drive quality standards. Reporting directly to Head of Private Label, you will be responsible for defining the Design strategy and delivering guidelines and standards for overall product quality for an entire category, including the ZALORA label. You will be working closely with a cross-functional team which includes designers, product developers, planners and manufacturing experts. You will be responsible for a substantial part of the greater ZALORA business revenues and margins.
A great eye for fashion trends, product detail and commercially relevant ideas are important skills. As the lead designer for Footwear and Accessories, you will be responsible for designing monthly and additional seasonal collections for one of our young fast fashion labels. The candidate will be involved in trend research and market research, to keep up to date with the seasonal trends. We need a passionate individual who understands the young market to create trend capsules as well as commercially viable collections. The candidate is also responsible for creating collection overviews; creating technical drawings and design stylesheets; fabric/color proposal and selection as well as sample fittings. We have a full team with support from merchandisers and buyers so the candidate will need to be a good team player to work closely with them and factories to ensure design accuracy and product quality.
