Buyer

As a fashion buyer in our commercial department, you become part of a high performance team and bring great fashion to Zalora’s customers. You shape, develop and manage the assortment, reporting into the Head of Buying. Your working location will be Zalora’s offices in BGC, Taguig.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess commercial viability of products for Zalora’s target market
  • Select and source commercially successful product ranges
  • Monitor and drive in-season assortment performance on contribution, sell-through, stock turn and profitability
  • Manage budgets, OTB and product intake
  • Manage brand- and supplier relationships, negotiate conditions and terms of contract
  • Source new suppliers with relevant ranges for the target market
  • Partner & liaise with other functions on jointly optimizing processes, information flow and target achievement
  • Attend trade fairs, scout for new trends and product opportunities
  • Actively shape Zalora’s assortment strategy, define the right mix of brands, categories, price ranges
  • Know & own the KPIs, make recommendations based on valid numbers

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in business, management, merchandising or related field
  • Experienced (>3 years) in e-commerce, retail, buying or merchandising
  • Passionate about fashion, digital and making customers happy
  • Strong data affinity and analytical skill, not afraid of large numbers
  • Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor
  • Strong in negotiations, pleasant to work with
  • Expert skills in Excel, MS Office
  • Attentive to detail without losing sight of the big picture
  • Motivated, structured, embracing change, always looking for solutions
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders, reliable in getting things done
  • Not shying away from a dynamic, fast-paced working environment
