Executive - Public Relations

This is an exciting opportunity to join ZALORA’s Marketing team, one of the most recognized fashion brands in South East Asia. Reporting to a Marketing Director, you will be responsible for promoting and managing public perception of ZALORA, while creating media and consumer awareness. You will be responsible for achieving communication goals through carefully crafted written, verbal or strategic communication designed for public consumption.  You will be working closely with a cross-functional team which includes social media, partnerships, campaign managers, graphic designers, and writers.  You will be responsible for implementing strategies, campaign execution, and performance measurement.  As part of the Marketing - Public Relations team, you will be an important part of the team that drives ZALORA’s brand image and communications.

We are looking for a Public Relations Executive who has industry experience in fashion, social media, and marketing communications who can create and execute public relations campaigns, build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and organizations while demonstrating strong competence in fashion content, trends, and strategies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Designing press releases, arranging interviews, and responding to press requests
  • Maintain communications and relationships with media, stylists, and social media influencers
  • Craft campaigns, design content, and determine effective methods of communication to meet publicity goals
  • Research demographic or target audience to understand the best communication channel
  • Use multiple channels to maximize exposure, namely but not limited to: press, social media, influencers, television, and events
  • Update daily media tracker and social media mentions, and compile into a weekly report for Marketing Director overview
  • Analyse the results of PR campaigns and activities, and prepare reports
  • Attend launches and fashion shows or events
  • Influencer engagement, relationship management, and database expansion
  • Coordinate warehouse pulls, deliveries of parcels to press and influencers from headquarters, and facilitating returns to the warehouse from headquarters
  • Work collaboratively with the key stakeholders in the Marketing team, as well as with Buying, Production, Operations, and Finance to create/implement successful initiatives

Requirements:

  • Holds a Bachelors degree
  • At least 1-2 years experience in public relations, marketing, and/or social media relations
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in managing public relations campaigns, content, and events
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key people or organizations
  • Creative thinking met with the ability to find the best and most practical solutions to complex situations
  • Extensive knowledge of social media, pop culture, trends, and related fields
  • Possess creativity and knowledge of different tactics to identify and engage the target audience
  • Stay up to date with public relations and fashion industry trends, as well as best practices
  • Aptitude in presentation and public speaking
  • Attention to details
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written English
  • Ability to work within a team to resolve complex problems
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Hands-on, extremely pragmatic
  • The desire to work in a fast paced fashion environment, after having thrived in a similar setting
